Kerry was born and raised in the small fishing town of Arbroath on the East coast of Scotland. From an early age Kerry showed a keen interest in art and was awarded the Arbroath High School Rose Cup, in recognition of being the most accomplished student in Art during her fourth year. On leaving School Kerry joined DC Thomson, Dundee as a Junior Trainee Artist Assistant.
The day-to-day reality of raising a family and the time and dedication that takes meant Kerry had to put her art, for the most part, on hold. Gradually, as her family grew up, Kerry found she had more spare time again to paint. She began exploring her artistic potential and technique, discovering she particularly enjoyed painting the female form and slowly developing and honing her distinct, unique style.
In December 2017 Kerry was holding her first solo exhibition. This was a monumental turning point in her journey, the overwhelming public response affirming to Kerry how well received her new body of work, The Tattooed Collection was. And so, with the love and support of her family and friends, plenty of much appreciated help and guidance from the local art and business community, some steely resolve, determination and a new found confidence, she has focused on turning her creative hopes and aspirations of becoming a professional full-time artist into a reality…..
